The Story

We are the West Family and this blog tells the story of our journey to start a new Church community in North West London.  Our mission is to help connect Jesus to people, people to community, and community to mission.

We (Thomas and Elizabeth) have been married 10 years and have two (Perry Elizabeth is 6 and Shepherd is 3).  Raleigh, North Carolina was our home for our whole married life and we love it.  We both grew in Montgomery, Alabama.  We started dating in high school and the rest is history.
After studying at Auburn University (War Eagle!) we moved to North Carolina for Thomas to pursue his Masters and then PhD at Southeastern Seminary. Thomas served served at Providence Church, as the College then Discipleship Pastor, for seven years.  During that season God started to give us a new desire...a new dream: to move to London to start a new Church community with a few of our friends.
We have been living in London for sic months and really love it.  We are so excited about this adventure and really feel the immensity of it.  This is big!  We built a team of people to pray with us, support us financially, and to even move with us to London.  Now, we're learning about life in one of the most amazing cities in the world.

We are continuing to build a team of supporters who want to invest in this journey in a variety of ways.  We are excited to share our journey with you right here.  We will be sharing family updates and the highs and lows of starting a new Church community, weekly on the blog.  Please subscribe and follow along!
We would love to have you partner with us in this journey!  Read on and enjoy!
