From our family to yours, we hope it's a restful and refreshing day for you. We spent the day cooking and visited with a few friends. We just wanted to drop a brief update and Christmas encouragement to you on this very special day. Thank you for being on this journey with us!
CHRISTMAS IN LONDON
We were really missing our family over the last few days. Finishing up a few pieces from the last year took longer than expected and it felt like we were dragging ourselves across the line into Christmas Eve. We are especially thankful for a few friends that have become family to us. From a few visits yesterday to today - we felt the love and company of other people.
Covid continues to be concerning for many and that has real effects on plans and our ability to plan. Most importantly to us, Elizabeth's sister (KK) had to reschedule her visit from this next week. We're hoping new restrictions don't come in for another week (or ever!) so we can at least get some rest and make some memories around London this next week. It's unreal how the anxiety of whether things will lockdown or not weighs on the heart and mind. The frustration and disappointment of dashed plans and hopes doesn't seem like it will ever get old.
ENCOURAGEMENTS
It's with just these experiences in our hearts that we want to offer you some Christmas Day encouragements. This is the Bible Talk that Thomas recorded for the Redeemer community today. It's all about God's timing being the right time and how we have been adopted into God's family through faith in Jesus Christ. Please, listen in and be encouraged!
WHAT ELSE?
You can hear it here: We're kinda watching and waiting to see if new Covid restrictions are imposed in the next week. That will really determine what the next few days of the Christmas holidays will look like for us as a family and then for Redeemer once we're able to gather again.
Thank you for being on this journey with us. From our family to yours, a very warm and grateful Happy Merry Christmas to you and yours.
