PREPARE TO LAUNCH

We're dusting off the ole blog here to share what we've been up to over the last two months. The biggest news is what happens next. Redeemer is finally and fully launching on Saturday 25 September. Here's what that means and what we've been up to.

LAUNCHING REDEEMER

In a very real sense, Redeemer is already here. A group of 25 diverse adults have already come together to call themselves church family. We meet throughout the week in a variety of formats of venues. Redeemer is already here. And yet, Redeemer is about to launch.

The French Reformer John Calvin said you can identify a true church when three things are present. First, the gospel is clearly preached. Second, the sacraments (baptism and the Lord's Supper) are administered. And third, where they identify as a local church. On Saturday the 25 of September Redeemer will fully and finally launch. Redeemer has already been gathering but this is the big release, no more beta version - the real deal is here.

We're expecting this will mean a new season of life, people, and ministry. Please join us in praying for people to join in - not merely attend, but that God would move in their hearts and that they would want to join this new spiritual community. We've been very encouraged to see members inviting friends around and how Redeemer has been growing and changing in just a matter of weeks. Please pray for us.

THE DETAILS

We will continue to meet at Salusbury Primary School on Saturday afternoons. We offer a tea from 3:15 and then the full Redeemer Session goes down at 4:00.

Elizabeth continues to lead the way for Redeemer Kids. We're encouraged to have nine Kids coming most weeks and are expectant about more of our children's friends coming round in the weeks ahead. Just this last week, Elizabeth hosted a dinner and training for our amazing volunteers who are helping lead Kids from week-to-week.

We're preparing a new collection of talks on the "I AM" statements of Jesus that we will begin on this upcoming weekend. Quite simply, through all of this - we want to share the love and the life that we have experienced from Jesus. We want people to know Him, love Him, and join us in making Him known.

WHAT ELSE

We had a really refreshing Summer. Perry and Shepherd got out of school towards the end of July and we went back to the States for a few weeks. It was the first time we were able to see our parents and grandparents in a year. The three national lockdowns, intense travel restrictions, and overall tough tough year made us tight and bogged down. We sooooooo appreciated the time with family.

Most of you reading this have supported our family in a variety of ways over the last couple of years. We simply and heartily want to say thank you. Thank you for your prayer, thank you for your support. We share in this expectation and fruit together.

Blog, properly dusted off. We will check in with you in a couple of days before Saturday. Thank you for praying for our family in this especially important week.

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord's work, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58
